Cape Town – AKA and Nasty C, Two of South Africa’s best rap and hip-hop artists, have collaborated on a new single that could prove to be a hit at all parties this festive season.
The new single is called “Lemons [Lemonade]”. AKA took to his Instagram account to make the announcement.

According to Times LIVE, AKA described their collaboration as “artistry” and nothing competitive.
The rapper also spoke on a podcast called The Episode where he said the song was about them being comfortable with being where they are in their musical careers.
“For me it’s not about, you know his verse is fantastic, but for me it’s not really about that competitiveness anymore, especially on a song like that, it’s really about making the best art for the fans, and I think he really blessed me and I’m really thankful for that,” AKA said.

AKA also went on to tell SAHipHopMag that “My relationship with Nasty as well you know, we were never really close.” He said that their relationship was in the interest of creating good music.
In addition to featuring on the song, Nasty C has had a successful September. His official Youtube channel hit 1 million subscribers. He released this new album titled Ivyson Army and capped it off by signing on as a mobile brand collaborator for Call of Duty.
