Cape Town — Two of the biggest rap names in SA music, Cassper Nyovest and Nasty C, had music fans excited after they announced they will be going on a joint tour.
Nyovest and Nasty C have both been busy within the industry.
Nyovest recently announced that he will be releasing a new album, titled Solomon, and will come out on July 28.
Nasty C, on the other hand, has taken his talents internationally and has been rubbing shoulders with the likes of Chris Brown and Rick Ross, The South African reported.
However, the new tour is set to light up Africa and both rappers were excited about the possibility of working alongside each other and touring together. Both rappers shared the promotional video for the tour to their respective Instagram accounts.
“Be scared. Me and bro @nasty_csa going on tour TOGETHER!! Can anybody say Hip hop? #AfricanThrone,” Nyovest wrote.
“PSA!! ME & @casspernyovest ARE GOING ON TOUR VERY SOON!!! #AFRICANTHRONE! THIS IS A AFRICAN HIP HIP CELEBRATION & IM SUPER PROUD & EXCITED TO BRING YOU THIS EXPERIENCE WITH THE ONE & ONLY MUFASA! FUCKN HUGE!!!,” Nasty C said.

The tour has been dubbed the “African Throne” and the two stars will be touring across Tanzania, Ghana, Zambia, Nigeria, Namibia, Botswana, Kenya, Uganda, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Ivory Coast, eSwatini, South Africa and Mozambique. The two artists will also tour the UAE together.
According to IOL, this isn’t the first time the two will be working together. In April last year, Nyovest brought Nasty C out on stage with him to perform their hit song Jump after Nyovest’s boxing exibition.
Later that year, Nasty C returned the favour when he invited Nyovest to perform at his annual Ivyson Tour showcase in Johannesburg.
