Cape Town – Veteran and respected South African actress Connie Ferguson is known for her brilliant acting and longevity in the industry. She took to Instagram to pen a heartfelt message to her late husband Shona Ferguson, who passed away in 2021.
Connie and Shona got married in 2001 and celebrated 20 years of marriage before Shona died of complications related to Covid-19 in July 2021.
Connie still holds Shona very dear in her heart.
She wrote a touching tribute to her late husband, who would have celebrated his 49th birthday.
“XXI ?️?️? 21 months without you physically here and it still feels unreal.? Happy heavenly birthday to you my LOVE, the coolest dude I have ever known!????? We miss you so much! Today we are celebrating you for all that you were and still are; a LEGEND!? Continue resting my KING.? It is well.??❤️,” she said

According to TimesLIVE, Connie has learnt how to live with her loss and deal with the pain she was going through.
“Grieving is ongoing. You just literally learn to live with the pain and not let it decapitate you. Life has to go on. I still have ambitions. I still have a company I need to run. There’s a lot still to be done, I think for me its unfortunate that I find myself in a position where I feel like I have to do it alone although I have a lot of support around me,” the report quoted her as saying.
