Cape Town — It’s been two years since the tragic passing of former actor Shona Ferguson, and his memory still lives long in the minds of his wife, Connie, and daughters, Alicia and Lesedi.
Shona left many fans heartbroken at his sudden passing in July 2021 due to Covid-19 related health problems.
He stole the hearts of numerous fans with his easy-going persona and impeccable acting skills on several dramas including some of his production such as The Queen and Kings of Joburg, The South African wrote.
To commemorate two years since his passing, those he left behind paid a touching tribute to him via their Instagram, posting pictures and videos and writing heartfelt messages in his honour.
Connie wrote a beautiful message to her husband, saying she is in disbelief that two years have passed already and that he still lives on in her heart. She added that she and the family still try to do as many of his favourite things so that it feels as if he’s still with them.

Shona’s daughter’s, Alicia and Lesedi, also wrote touching tributes to their father on their Instagram timelines. Both said how much they miss having him around.
“Sho Fede. Today marks 2 years since your departure, even though it feels like yesterday. The void never gets better, but I know the presence of God is helping us push forward and be strong. Thank you for being the best role model for not only personally but spiritually. I aspire to wear God as well as you and have a heart as kind and generous as yours Fa. I love and miss you always Fa,” Alicia wrote.
“Around this time 2 years ago, the air was heavy. The winds howled the same way they did tonight. We waited with bated breath, hoping… praying for a miracle. It never came. Instead the miracle was you ascending to a higher realm where you had to leave us physically. Life hasn’t been the same,” Lesedi said.
