Cape Town – South African media personality and choreographer Somizi Mhlongo has reportedly landed a gig with one of the country’s most popular channels, Moja Love.
According to The Citizen, Mhlongo will co-host a new dating show called Lovey Dovey, with actress Gabisile Tshabalala.
Contestants on the dating show will compete in fun activities in order to connect and avoid being voted out by their fellow competitors, who will all live in a luxury home on the Vaal River with the possibility of a wedding at the end.

Lovey Dovey will premiere in February, with the winning couple receiving an R500 000 grand prize.
Somizi returns to television after a brief absence due to abuse allegations levelled against him by his estranged husband Mohale Motaung a few months ago.
Mohale, in a leaked recording, claimed that Somizi broke his ribs and nearly knocked out his two teeth in a jealously-fueled domestic dispute in their Joburg home last year.
As a result, Somizi had to take a break from his gigs, including Metro FM and Idols SA.

According to TshisaLive, Somizi said that he was ready to bring his “A-game” after the past few months took a toll on his professional life.
“The past few months of my personal life took a toll on my professional life,” Somizi said. As a media personality, it can be hard for people to separate the two … Ever since the reports in the media of GBV involving me and my ex-husband Mohale, I have never been given the benefit of the doubt to share my side of the story but have chosen and prefer to keep my affairs private
“Taking some time off, away from the spotlight, has given me the time to introspect and now I am ready to bring my A-game,” he added,” the report quoted Somizi as saying.
