Cape Town – Lynn Forbes took to Instagram to give gratitude to the Megacy fans after her son’s death nearly three months ago, saying she was appreciative of the support she received during a difficult time of her life.
Lynn has experienced one of the most difficult things any mother can deal with in her lifetime. She has put up a strong front in dealing with the speculation surrounding her son’s death, and has provided incredible support to the Forbes family, including her granddaughter Kairo Forbes, as well as Kairo’s mother DJ Zinhle and AKA’s girlfriend Nadia Nakai.
“Thank you for all the support coming my way. ‘I’m in a good space with bad moments,’ It is the best way to describe how I’m feeling, 11 weeks in. I appreciate the continued love coming from across the globe, thank you ???,” she said.

Lynn has been active, especially on Instagram, posting pictures and penning heartfelt messages in honour of her son. She included a heartwarming and heartbreaking screenshot of the last conversation she shared with her son.
Lynn messaged her son to say how she was so proud of the man and father he’s become and how much she loved him. And AKA responded to say: “Thank you Mum. What a sweet message. Love you.”

According to The Citizen, AKA has been nominated for the Metro FM 17th awards, standing a chance to bag up to six awards. He shares the lead on the nominees list with rapper Jabulani Hadebe.
AKA’s fans will rally behind him and vote for his latest album Mass County which has proven to be a major success.
