Cape Town – South African rapper Cassper Nyovest recently caught a lot of heat for his tweets claiming that he is struggling financially.
Following the budget speech this week by Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana, Nyovest took to Twitter to vent his struggles, saying that having “celebrity status” does not mean you’re rich and are not going through financial hardships.
“People are going through a lot financially. Ha gona zaka jo. It’s bad! Nobody has money. What’s going on Shap Shap??? Why is it so tight?” he tweeted.

When one fan joked with Nyovest that he was hoping the rapper could help him out financially, the star responded by saying that he was struggling too, proving that the financial hardships of living in South Africa affected even the “rich and famous”.
“I’m going through it myself. It’s tough man. Like I feel only the billionaires are living soft cause jo ya kena ya tswa. Everything is just expensive! Water electricity, food, Petrol, security, rent , tax. Bro I’m not making enough money. I’m always stressed about the next month.” Nyovest said.

Nyovest is currently on a break from music but fans have asked him when he plans to drop music.
