Cape Town — South African rapper K.O has been a mainstay in the music industry for about a decade now and has gained incredible success throughout the country. However, he has set his sights on international fame.
K.O’s recent success has been built on his legacy from years past.
He took to Twitter and answered a number of questions from fans about his career and his future.
He recalled being at the BET Awards in 2011 and said he wanted to enjoy that experience once again in his career.

He also answered a question from a fan, who asked him: “what keep you going?”. In response, K.O said: “The dream! I want to be South African hip-hop Black Coffee. I’ve tasted what the world feels like outside South Africa, I’m addicted.”

K.O also said that he felt he was underrated within the industry and that he felt he wasn’t validated by his awards. His hit song, SETE was nominated for multiple Metro FM awards recently, TimesLIVE said.
“I don’t consider awards the symbol of success. If fanbases are the only thing that wins awards I’m comfortable not winning. I stopped fishing for external validation years ago. You’ll go crazy in this game if you’re constantly seeking to get worshipped,” he said.
