Cape Town — Mark Pilgrim’s fiance, Adrienne Watkins, shared a special tribute to him on what would have been his 54th birthday.
Mark fought hard but ultimately lost his battle with cancer in March this year, and was a constant pillar of strength as he regularly posted to social media to update his fans and followers on his health condition.
Mark’s fiancée, Adrienne Watkins, was by his side throughout his fight and she decided to pay tribute to him on social media. The South African reported that Adrienne took to Instagram and made two posts to him. She posted a picture of herself and Mark together and wrote a beautiful birthday message to him, six months after his death.

“Today, you would have been 54. I wish more than anything that I could give you the biggest birthday cuddle and kiss and make a wish for you, as we celebrate you and your life. “I miss you so much, my love bug. I will never stop loving you. Happy Birthday my baby,” she wrote.
She also made another post of Mark with a birthday cake and a screenshot of him dancing with his two daughters.
In June this year, a party was hosted in Mark’s honour, called the Pilgrimage Party and it continued to make a difference even after death, as the event raised over R100 000 to go towards his favourite charity, Reach for a Dream.
Adrienne shared some of her favourite highlights from the night to her Instagram page.
“We sent balloons into the night sky as we made a special wish for you, my love . And then shared such a beautiful evening at The Pilgrimage Party celebrating YOU. How loved you are. What a life, what a legend, what a legacy,” she said.
