Cape Town – Former Metro FM DJ Bujy Bikwa has issued a statement, as he opened up for the first time, about his physical altercation with media personality, Boity Thulo.
This comes after a shocking audio clip of the physical fight between the two surfaced on social media on Thursday.
In a statement that has since been deleted from his Instagram account, Bujy admits to throwing a glass at Thulo, but claims that he meant no harm.
“I have been through the most rough, emotional and difficult time the past few days, regarding allegations against me, of GBV.
“In no way do I condone such behaviour and actions that occurred on the night, however, I feel victimised as I was not given the opportunity to relay my side of the story,” IOL quoted the statement as saying.

Bujy claims that he, too, was verbally and physically abused by Boity, who reportedly told him that his surname had no relation to who he was.
“That did not make matters subtle, as I was continually insulted. With a glass in my hand, I unintentionally threw it out of frustration, without any intention to cause physical harm, I do, however, acknowledge that matters could have been handled in a different way and I sincerely do apologise for how it ended,” said Bujy.
Bujy said he had since filed a counter-case of common assault against Boity.
Last week, Bujy and Boity got into a fight, resulting in the Ba Kae hitmaker sustaining serious injuries.
Boity later filed an assault charge against Bujy, who was arrested and spent seven days in jail.

Boity confirmed the assault on Twitter.
“It is with deep sadness that I was indeed an unfortunate victim of a vicious physical assault and that I have since opened a case against the culprit, which I am following with a keen interest. I do not wish to comment on this matter any futher (at this time),” she wrote.
According to the City Press, Bujy has since been released on R2 000 bail.
He has also been ordered not to interfere with investigations or contact Thulo or any witnesses in the case, the report said.
