Cape Town – He may have “lost count” of how many days he’s been in hospital, but one thing for sure is that radio personality Mark Pilgrim is grateful for his supporting wife.
Mark, who is battling stage four lung cancer, has been in hospital for over a month following numerous health challenges after his lung collapsed in September.
Taking to his Instagram timeline, he gave a shout-out to his supportive wife, “his rock” as he refers to her.
“Hospital Day … thirty something (I’ve lost count) Adrienne. My rock. By my side every single day. I love you baby,””he captioned the post.
Fans and followers took to the comments section to wish the seasoned broadcaster well and hoped he got home for Christmas.
“Praying you to be home for Christmas, we all Love you, can’t wait for you to be out of hospital,” wrote one follower.

“May God be with you and your family. The doctors and nurses are doing a great job. May the Lord combine everyone that is helping you to fight this disease with his holy spirit and please keep that faith in your God. He’s in control,” another follower wrote.
Mark revealed that he had been released from ICU after 30 days and was looking forward to spending more time with his daughters.
“After 30 days in an ICU bed, I’m skinnier than a toothpick, but… I’m out of ICU,” Mark said.
“Two of many great things about no longer being in ICU: no more green gown….. and my girls get to visit,” he said in an Instagram post.
