Cape Town – South African hip-hop DJ and producer Dylan James Eksteen better knowns as DJ Double D has accused rapper Da L.E.S, real name Leslie Jonathan, of physically assaulting him.
The DJ took to his Twitter page to release a testament in this regard.
“It is with deep sadness to state that I was indeed an unfortunate victim of assault from Leslie Mampe JR, commonly known as Da LES and that I have since opened a case with the South African Police Service (SAPS) against the culprit, which I am following with keen interest.”

“I do not wish to comment on this matter further. I respectfully request some space as I try to find a way to heal both physically and emotionally from this traumatic experience. I have complete faith in our criminal justice system and wish to get the matter resolved,” wrote Double D.
He further stated that he would be cutting ties with the rapper.

According to IOL, the two have known each other for over five years.
They have worked together on several projects through Da L.E.S’ Fresh 2 Def Productions.
In 2018, they released a collaborative album called “Fresh 2 Def Presents: Hall of Fame 2.”
The two were inseparable and were frequently photographed together at events.
Da L.E.S has remained silent on the subject.
