Cape Town – On July 20, the late South African rapper Riky Rick would have celebrated his 35th birthday.
The award-winning rapper, whose real name is Rikhado Makhado, died on February 23 after committing suicide.
He left behind his wife, two children, his mom and five siblings.
His death at the age of 34 shook Mzansi and he has never been forgotten since.
On July 20 his fans, music industry friends, and giants lit up social media, wishing the Sondela hitmaker a heavenly birthday.
They shared their memories with the star, while some expressed how it was still unbelievable that he was no more.

What stood out from the messages was how people remembered his humanity, generosity and love, and support for upcoming artists.
Most importantly, he was remembered for his banger hit songs such as Sondela, Boss Zonke and Sidlukotini.
The hit song Sidlukoti and his love for fine clothes made him one of the fashion icons in the country.
He was also the founder of the Cotton Festival.
