Cape Town — South African comedy legend Trevor Noah recently received praise from none other than former American talk show host and icon Oprah Winfrey.
Oprah attended Noah’s show as part of his Off The Record tour at the Santa Barbara bowl and Oprah could not stop gushing about Noah and his performance, saying she was left with a headache from laughing and calling him “brilliant”.
“Can’t remember when I’ve had a happier Saturday night. Watching @trevornoah at the Santa Barbara Bowl with Scott Sanders and daughter girl Tabitha under a full moon sky. He is astutely observant, brilliant and so funny I left with a laugh headache. Go see when he comes to a city near you!”

Noah has made a name for himself as one of the biggest and funniest comedians in the world and he is currently touring the world for his Off The Record show and is evidently killing his performances, The South African reported.
Noah currently has some new ventures lined up. He was announced as the new host of Amazon Prime Video’s comedy show where 10 SA celebs will compete for a a R1million prize. He is also scheduled to tour South Africa in August and September.
Noah received praises from celebs and fellow South Africans for his recognition from Oprah.
“Watching a South African guy, seating with her South African daughter ???. We love you too Mam O, we truly do! ❤️ we appreciate how you changed our girls lives,” one comment read.
“Yes! He is brilliant! African Proud!???,” another comment said.
“@trevornoah is out of this world ?????? saw him Medford Boston and found myself laughing even in my sleep. Thank you @oprah for always flying the SA flag ❤️??,” another read.
