Cape Town – South African Gqom stars Bongekile “Babes Wodumo” Simelane and her husband Mandla “Mampintsha” Maphumulo have revealed their son’s face to their fans for the first time since the one-year-old was born.
Since Sponge, as the baby is popularly known, was born, the stars have managed to keep his face off the public eye by placing emojis on their social media posts.
On Tuesday, Mampintsha took to his Instagram page to share the first snap showing the cutie’s face.
“My son,” he captioned the post with a heart emoji.

Mampintsha’s followers took to the comments section gushing over the “cutie pie” and commenting with heart emojis.
The snap was also shared on Sponge’s Instagram page which has over 50 000 followers.
Sponge later made his first appearance in the latest episode of his parent’s reality show Uthando Lodumo when he was being introduced to his grandmother, Mampintsha’s mother Zamanguni Gumede for the first time.
In the first episode of season two of their reality show, the couple shared their plans to work on making things work and unite their families following.
This was after the viral video of Babes hurling insults and threatening to beat up Mampitsha’s mother after she disapproved of their wedding.
