Cape Town — Grammy award-winning rapper and producer, Kaytranada, will delight South African crowds as he is set to perform at the inaugural Milk + Cookies Festival next year.
The Festival takes place across a number of days in January 2025, with two shows expected in Cape Town on 5 January at the Cape Town Ostrich Ranch and another in Johannesburg on 11 January at Old Park Station.
In a post on Instagram, Milk + Cookies announced Kaytranada as one of the acts to perform at the inaugural edition of the festival in South Africa.
“Just as his return to the country has been much anticipated, Kaytranada will perform in South Africa early next year, headlining the first-ever Milk + Cookies Festival SA. The acclaimed producer and DJ, currently rocking stages worldwide on his Timeless Tour, will perform in Cape Town (The Ostrich) on 5 January and head to Joburg (Old Park Station) on 11 January 2025,” it said.
“This will be the first edition of the festival in the country. The festival is the centerpiece of the inaugural Milk + Cookies Music Week South Africa, an 11-day cultural celebration featuring concerts, immersive experiences, artist development programs, and more. Additional details about the music week will be revealed in the coming weeks,” it added.

According to The South African, Milk + Cookies was excitied to host the Festival in South Africa and immersing themselves in the culture of South Africa.
“South Africa’s influence on music, culture and art is profound, and we wanted to pay homage to that by making it the home of our first international festival. Our goal is to celebrate the local culture while blending it with global sounds to create something truly special,” a spokesperson said.
Milk + Cookies is a production company established by four Morehouse College graduates and the event will mark the global launch of the festival that will be an 11-day celebration,
The Milk + Cookies Festival is a key event in the first-ever Milk + Cookies Music Week in South Africa, taking place from December 31, 2024, to January 11, 2025. The week begins in Cape Town with New Year’s celebrations, yacht parties, cultural activities, and unique fashion pop-ups featuring prominent local designers.
Organisers of the festival have announced that presale tickets will be released on Monday, November 4, and the general public can purchase tickets starting Wednesday, November 6, through the Howler website.
