Cape Town — Former South African rapper AKA was posthumously awarded at the BET Hip-Hop Awards as he was given the Global Visionary Award.
The Forbes family headed over to Atlata to receive the award on behalf of the rapper, who was tragically gunned down and killed in Durban in February this year.
AKA was nominated in the category for Best International Flow, alongside fellow rapper K.O, however he was the recipient of an even greater award as he was awarded for his impact in the hip-hop landscape.
