Cape Town – After taking a hiatus from social media, multiple award-winning Tsonga artist Sho Madjozi is back.
She took to Twitter to explain why she has been quiet and made it clear to everyone that she is “not pregnant”, much to social media speculation after her MIA (Missing In Action) act.
“First things, first. I’m not pregnant. Let’s just start there,” She tweeted.

She said that she had been dealing with hurt after she discovered that she had been betrayed by two people from her team.
“Thank you to everyone that has been checking on me. I was dealing with some hurt and confusion. I discovered two people on my team trying to steal which led me to discover all sorts of dodgy things they had been doing to block my opportunities for over a year,” said Sho.

She said it’s painful having to make that discovery because she hails way back with her team.
“I won’t say I’m completely fine. Swa vava (It’s painful) cause I come from way back with those people. But I have enjoyed taking time for myself and I have too many things to be excited about. I’ve got new management, I’m looking cute, my new music sounds mad and I can’t wait to roll it out,” she said.

Sho said that although the hiatus was not planned, she still advocates for people to switch off from social media from time and again to regroup.
“In general I still strongly advocate for long social media breaks. Social media is great but I also find it extremely heavy and distracting. If you’re like me, it’s ok. You’re a soft, living thing. We aren’t really built to be inundated by an endless stream of interaction,” She advised.

She shared an exclusive new music video clip that she has been working on where she is being featured by an artist and she raps in Swahili.
