Durban — Fans were left furious after they were left stranded in the rain when Nasty C and Cassper Nyovest cancelled their gig due to wet equipment.
The rappers were set to perform the Durban leg of their African Throne Tour at People’s Park but frustration grew when the two announced the show would be cancelled, leaving many fans standing drenched in the rain.
The two issued a joint statement apologising to fans and saying the reason the show had to be cancelled was due to a damaged sound desk from the rain.
“Durban we really sorry that we weren’t able to perform today. The sound desk got damaged due to rain, after a number of attempts to try and recover the sound we had to make the tough decision of cancelling the show.”
“Our team is working to see how to best remedy this. Thank you for your support and we will keep you posted. Again, we’re so sorry,” they continued.
