Cape Town – South Africa’s newly found treasures in commercial entertainment, Faf de Klerk and Sello Maake have become the duo that Mzansi didn’t know it needed.
This comes after the pair starred in different commercials for Budget Insurance. The commercials may have been separate, but they are both equally funny.
In the advert starring Sello, he plays himself but goes through an identity crisis as he struggles to escape being known as just that guy who played Archie. “Who am I?” he asks himself. While suffering from this internal conflict, his car gets stolen. And after Budget insurance sorts him out, he comes to term with being known as Archie.

Meanwhile, Faf is labelled as a good South African because he gave the country his body, “proudly flying our national treasure on his national treasures.” However, like Sello, bad things happen to good South Africans and Budget gives him what he deserves because “Budget doesn’t faf around”.

South Africans have expressed their appreciation of these two ‘national treasures’ on social media.
