Cape Town — Local broadcasting channel, SABC 3, will host the brand new Miss World SA pageant scheduled to take place in Pretoria later this month.
The new pageant is hosted by South African businesswoman Carol Bouwer. Last month, Minnie Dlamini was selected as the new host. The show will be live broadcasted on Satuday 28 October from 5:30pm to 8pm.
According to The Citizen, the winner of the new pageant will go on to represent South Africa at the Miss World title competion to be held in India in December.
Each contestant is faces various challenges, showcasing their talents, sports skills, and charity work, all to prove they can be outstanding ambassadors for change, not just in the national competition but beyond.
The Miss World South Africa winner will join contestants from more than 130 countries for the 71st Miss World pageant, celebrating beauty, diversity, and empowerment.
The official Miss World South Africa Instagram page announced the 12 contestants earlier this year, with diverse representation of all South African heritages and cultures.
