Cape Town – American actress and singer Kelly Rowland has shown some love to South African-born visual artist Nelson Makamo during his first solo exhibition titled BLUE, in the United States.
The songstress took to social media to praise Makamo.
“Dearest @nelsonmakamo We were truly blown away by your show today! There are no words to describe what we saw. Every single piece is so incredibly unique, rooted, and spiritual! Thank you for your gift! Love you always,” wrote Kelly in an Instagram post.

This, however, is not the first time that Kelly has been blown away by Makamo’s work.
According to TimesLIVE, Makamo surprised Rowland and her husband Tim Witherspoon with a portrait of their son in 2018 while they were in South Africa for the Global Citizen event.

Makamo may have presented his first independent solo exhibition in the United States, but the artist has participated in a number of outstanding solo and group exhibitions, According to IOL.
Over the years, he has experimented with charcoal, acrylic, water colours, monotypes, silk screen, and oil paintings.
He has also visited France, Italy, Netherlands, United Kingdom, and Germany, to name just a few.
