Cape Town — The Savanna Comics Choice Awards have officially opened entries for their upcoming awards show.
Entries are now open for all 12 categories for awards, namely: Savanna Newcomer, Breakthrough Act of thye Year, Headliner of he Year, Comedian of the Year, Best Solo Show, The Joe Mafela Award, The Hall of Fame Award. Best Comedic Writer, Uplifting Comedic Content, Funny is Funny Award, and Sauce of the Year.

The Savanna Comics Choice Awards is now in it’s 11th year as the show will honour the people who made their mark on the comedy industry in 2023, The Citizen reported.
Some of last year’s big winners includes Robby Collins for Comedian of the Year, while Wazi M Kunene scooped the Savanna Newcomer Award.
The awards were established to bolster the comedy sector and endeavour to ensure the SA comedy scene is robust and globally competitive.
