Cape Town – South African rapper Mthembeni Ndevu, better known as Emtee has bagged a Hip Hop Artist Of The Year Award at Nigeria’s second edition of Global Music Awards Africa 2022.
Emtee went against A-Reece, Sarkodie, Kwesi Arthur, and Ladipoe for this prestigious award, according to Briefly.
The rapper took to Twitter in a celebratory mood to announce the news.

According to Times Live, Emtee parted ways with his last record label, Ambitiouz Entertainment, in 2019 after he got frustrated with it.

He said the label overworked him as he performed as many as six gigs in one night, for a standard salary at the end of the month.
