Johannesburg — South African music star DJ Zinhle has responded to haters and critics by saying people would do anything to ‘fry her’ on social media.
The criticism came when a video circulated on social media of Zinhle seemingly comforting Kairo who was feeling sad about the death of her father, AKA, who was shot in Durban in February.
X account, @MDNNewss, uplaoded the clip of Kairo and Zinhle together, however, the caption did not match the video as it looked as if Kairo was laughing, leading to Zinhle receiving criticism and acccusations of ‘clout chasing’.
“You will never understand the pain in my heart when my child is crying because she’s missing her dad. God help us,” DJ Zinhle said.

Zinhle then took to X to set the record straight. She responded to a now-deleted post, saying the account that uploaded the original clip was taken out of context. She also responded to another fan who agreed with her, saying people would do ‘anything to fry her’.
Zinhle went onto say, in another X post, saying that she gets shocked at the lengths people are willing to go to, to say things that are not true, saying people on social media are ‘blindly righteous’.
Take a look at her X posts below:
My baby. The people who wrote this article used a random video I had posted. What I said and this video were never linked until this article. I wasn’t comforting Kairo in this video. We were playing around at Vida. Stop doing too much. https://t.co/KV2og8ScyI

It’s insane how far people go in this platform without knowing the facts. Most of the things that bother people on this platform are not even true.
But then everyone is so righteous out here, blindly so. 💔
