Cape Town – DJ Uncle Waffles, whose real name is Lungelihle Zwane, topped Twitter trends when a popular celebrity gossip blogger Musa Khawula shared her alleged booking rate card on social media.
According to the rate card, the DJ charges a whooping R80 000 for an hour-long set held indoors, while one would cough up to R120 000 for a similar set outdoors.
Her international rates are said to be $25 000 for festival gigs and $18 000 for clubs.
The alleged rates exclude transport and accommodation cost for inter-province and international bookings.

However, according to TshisaLives, the famous DJ’s management has denied the authenticity of the rate card, saying that it does not come from their company.
“I don’t know, I’m not sure, I can’t say anything around the rate card. It’s based on a booking, if you are making a booking you’ll know what the rate card is,” the report quoted That Tlhankana from Creative Corner as saying.

There is nothing wrong with artists charging this much, but what in particular guided her to this price is something else
Has she won any awards or accoladed some domestic to national recognition?
Even some other much more credible DJ’s haven’t cross the R50k mark
My 2 cents
