Cape Town – Metro FM’s radio personality, Lesego “DJ Speedsta” Nkaiseng has resigned from the urban radio station after five years.
Lesego took to Instagram on Tuesday and penned a lengthy post on his appreciation of the radio station over the years.
He started his radio career with the station in 2017 after leaving the youth-based Johannesburg radio station, YFM.
Lesego said that he had sacrificed his Saturday nights and deejaying gigs in order for him to be able to host the radio show every Saturday.

“I sacrificed my Saturday nights, sacrificed my gigs, missed plenty weddings, plenty Saturday nights, missed a lot of time with people who care for me. I told the Lord last year there’s no way I’m doing that any longer and here we are,” said Lesego.
He said that he wanted to send a special dedication to the radio station for giving him the opportunity of a lifetime and for providing him with great “moments”.

“I want to take this opportunity to thank everybody at Metro FM for believing in me and for all the moments. I have tears in my eyes as I type this,” he said.
He went on to thank his former colleagues.
“We did our thing, me, Looty and Jawz. Absolute Hip Hop! Was so sad to tell auntie Merissa that this was the last invoice we’re doing.
“When I was at Y we put people on, When I was at Metro we put more people on. I’m glad I could contribute to the culture,” he wrote.
Lesego hosted the Hip Hop show “Absolute Hip Hop” on Metro FM every Saturday nights.
