Cape Town – South African media mogul Connie Ferguson penned a heartfelt message to her daughter Ali as she celebrated her first birthday without her father Shona Ferguson on Tuesday.
Shona, affectionately known as “Uncle Sho,” died on July 30, 2021, at the age of 47, as a result of COVID-19-related complications.
Ever since his death, his family and wife have continued to remember him.
It was no different on Tuesday when Ali turned 20.
Connie took to Instagram and wrote: “@ali.ferguson_ My “Dhando” you are wise beyond your years! Kind with a heart of gold! Resilient beyond imagination and multitalented! Innately so! I thank God for the gift of you, and pray that even though today is your first ever birthday without Dad, He gives you the strength to draw from your memories with your “Dupe,” cherish them, be grateful for life and celebrate your milestones! Daddy is very proud of and so am I! I love you my baby girl! Happy birthday.”
