Cape Town — South African rapper, DA L.E.S, gave his worried fans an update on his current health status following a stroke he suffered earlier this year.
The rapper was rushed to hospital after he suffered a stroke on his 39th birthday in July this year, which he and his family confirmed to the public shortly after it happened.
Four months after his stroke, DA L.E.S and his family released another statement on Instagram to give fans a new update on his health, and he thanked them for the support and love that he has received in the past 4 months.
“DA L.E.S is currently in recovery after suffering a stroke. He is receiving rehabilitation and is taking things slowly with the support of his loving family,” the statement said. The rapper said it was a true miracle that he is alive and said: “I owe it all to God.”
The statement said the rapper was thankful to those who reached out to him and his family and would continue to update everyone on his healing process and he appreciates the continued encouragement.
“Healing takes time, but he’s staying positive and focused on a full recovery,” the statement concluded.

Fans were also given a glimpse as to how the rapper currently looks following the stroke, as celebrity barber, Amukelani Chauke, posted a video and picture of DA L.E.S following his haircut. He also wrote a message of hope to the rapper.
“I know you are coming, you know you’re coming they know you are coming grootman. All prayers to your family, one love,” he said in one post.
“Everything is going to be alright 🤞,” he said in another.
