Cape Town – Former Miss South Africa 2020 Shudufhadzo Musida has made it to the Miss World’s top 10 of the “Beauty With A Purpose” round in Puerto Rico.
Shudu, as she’s affectionately known, took to her Instagram page to show gratitude to her supporters who have been with her throughout her journey of bringing the “Beauty with a Purpose Project” to life.
“Last night during the annual Miss World charity gala I had the honour of presenting my Beauty with a Purpose Project as part of the Top 10 projects chosen. My heart is filled with so much gratitude as you know that the work we have done together has been the main focus and purpose of my reign as Miss South Africa and to be able to share this with people on the other side of the World has been an absolute highlight of my journey here so far.”

According to the Daily Sun, Shudu was placed in the top 10 alongside Czech Republic, Kenya, England, India, Madagascar, Nepal, Philippines, United States and Sri Lanka.
Her Beauty With A Purpose project focused on mental health awareness, something she promoted throughout her Miss South Africa reign.

As part of the project, Shudu released her children’s book, Shudu finds her magic, which tells the story of her upbringing, including how she was bullied at school by her classmates and how she overcame her sadness and challenges as she grew into an adult, who learnt to love herself.
The winner of the Beauty with Purpose will be announced on Thursday, December 16 during the beauty pageants finale in Puerto Rico.
