Cape Town – The family of South African rapper, Itumelang George Tladi, popularly known as Tumi Tladi, has confirmed his sudden death late on Sunday, reports said.
The Basedi hitmaker died in the early hours of Sunday morning at the age of 30, The Citizen reported.
“Known by his stage name Tumi Tladi, he was deeply loved by his family, friends, and the entertainment industry as a whole.
“Son, brother and uncle, Tumi Tladi (30) sadly passed away in the early hours of this morning (10th July 2022) in Johannesburg. He leaves behind his parents, five siblings, his niece and nephews,” the report quoted the family statement.
The family has asked for privacy in their time of grief.

The cause of Tumi’s death has not been revealed.
The news came as a shock to the South African hip-hop industry and fans, as Tumi had been tweeting about his upcoming projects on Sunday.
“You only Truly appreciate your loved ones when there’s a countdown, the small things don’t matter anymore,” read his last tweet.
