Cape Town – Renowned female DJ, Uncle Waffles, has taken to Twitter to reflect on and celebrate the video that launched her to popularity prior to making waves in the South African music industry.
It has been a year since Uncle Waffles, Lungelihle Zwane, uploaded the video that was an absolute hit, receiving a staggering 5.5 million views on Twitter.
The video shows Uncle Waffles dancing to her set while on the turn-tables, with the crowd really enjoying her as DJ, vibing to her set.
“This 30 minute set I wasn’t suppose to get completely changed my life, I’m forever greatful thank you God,” Waffles said in a Tweet looking back at the video.

Riding her wave of success, and reaching higher heights, Waffles can be spotted at parties performing for large groups of people, making them groove to her sounds.
She also recently released a hit song Tanzania, which garnered over 1 million views on Youtube.
