Johannesburg — Ahead of the final performance of their African Throne Tour, Cassper Nyovest has revealed that he and Nasty C nearly had a fall out with each other because of a music beat.
Cassper was speaking on stage ahead of the finale, where he said he and Nasty C nearly became adversaries because a producer wanted both of them to do songs over the same beat, The Citizen reported.
“There was a time when me and Nasty had beef right. This happened a few years ago. One of our friends, talented producer, sends me this one beat. The beat is so hot, I do a record to it. But he sent him (Nasty C) the same beat,” he said.
“So both records dropped, I don’t know if you noticed, but me and Nasty had two hits on the same beat. Somehow, we didn’t end up beefing and we’re here standing together,” Cassper continued.
With the beat, Cassper produced his hit song, Tito Mboweni, while Nasty C produced NDA. Both songs were smash hits in 2017 and it showed how, even though the beat of the two songs is the same, how the two rappers approached their respective songs different brought much disparity.

The two rappers also revealed that they collaborated with jewellery maker Shohreh Custom Made to create The African Throne Unity piece. The idea was to combine the powers of two award winning rappers into one SA Hip Hop collaborative Diamond pendant.
“Special announcement!!! Big shout out to @shohrehcustomade for making these unity pieces that we are giving away to 2 super fans tomorrow at the African Throne Tour finale. Both made out of real diamonds!!! Who deserves a piece ???”
