Cape Town — Things just keep getting better and better for South African rapper Cassper Nyovest as the rapper reacted to praise he received for his verse on American rapper Talib Kweli’s song.
Cassper announced in March this year that he would feature on Talib Kweli’s African-inspired album that was inspired by a trip he did to Africa. Talib shared a clip on his Instagram story of the studio session where he, along with comedy legend Dave Chapelle, listened to Cassper’s verse.
” @csikmixing just got back from South Africa and while he was there he got @casspernyovest to record an amazing verse for the album. ”

Cassper’s verse impressed both Talib and Dave, with Dave mentioning how he’s seen Cassper sell out arenas before: “I have seen this n*gga make a stadium shake,” he said.
Cassper took to his Instagram stories to share Talib’s reel and commented how it was a dream come true for him to have his heros listen to his music.
“Imagine your verse being listened to by GOATs. I grew up listening, watching, and learning from that whole room. Stuff dreams are made of,” Cassper wrote.
Cassper is currently wrapping up his African Throne Tour alonside Nasty C, while the rapper also revealed his new album, Solomon debuted at number 1 on iTunes, becoming the first hip-hop album to do so.
“Thank you for buying the album. I am told it’s the first hip hop album to debut number at 1 on iTunes this year. Either way, I’m just happy to see people appreciating this body of work. It means a lot to me.”
