Cape Town – South African rapper Cassper Nyovest has received backlash from tweeps after his seemingly lack of empathy towards the death of fellow artist Costa Titch.
Twitter user @Tearnel_ posted a video of what looked like Costa Titch dancing and he asked Cassper Nyovest to verifiy whether it was him.
“Yo @casspernyovest was this Costa Titch. The height is similar to his but I can’t see this guy’s face due to low quality of the video.”
In reply, Nyovest tweeted: “Yeah. This was Costa when he was still dancing for me.”

The South African reported that, before venturing into music, Titch worked as a backup dancer for some of the hottest music acts in the industry. He worked with Nyovest before transitioning to music. When he teamed up with AKA in 2021 for their joint album “You’re Welcome”, fans felt it was a dig at Nyovest who gave him the “in”.
This reply didn’t go down very well with Twitter users, with some saying that Nyovest didn’t acknowledge Titch as an equal, while others said there’s nothing wrong with what Nyovest said.
You could’ve just said y’all worked together, nawe kodwa?
