Cape Town — Miss South Africa 2023 runner-up, Bryoni Govender, recently launched her brand new countrywide advocacy campaign, called Her Way Out.
Bryoni will be representing SA at the Miss Universe pageant, as current Miss SA, Natasha Joubert, is ineligible due to her participation in the competition in 2021, after she finished as Miss SA runner-up in 2020.
Ahead of the pageant, Bryoni announced that she will an ambassador for her campaign, called Her Way Out. She took to her Instagram account to reveal the campaign.

According to The South African, the Miss Universe pageant takes place on 18 November in El Salvador. Bryoni is a law graduate and she revealed that the main objective of the campaign is to will be to take up the cudgels on behalf of women everywhere and help educate them on their legal rights.
She teamed up with the Social Impact team and global law firm, Norton Rose Fulbright to focus on access to justice projects and she was also appointed as the ambassador for the Lawyers against Abuse (LvA), a public benefit organisation that provides legal services and psychosocial support to GBV victims.
“Together with these legal powerhouses, I will travel across South Africa, visiting courthouses and legal clinics, schools and rural community halls – anywhere that I can address women, and help them understand their basic rights and enable them to make informed choices about their lives. What stops women from being empowered and from taking charge of their own destiny? I believe that the answer is simple: Knowledge, or a lack thereof,” she said in a press release.
