Cape Town – Award-winning Cape Town artist, Craig Lucas is mourning the death of his brother and sister-in-law who were fatally shot on Sunday in their Brackenfell home allegedly by their 15-year-old son.
According to IOL, the teenage boy appeared at the Blue Down’s Magistrate Court after his arrest over the weekend in connection with the double murder of his parents, Warren and Arlene Lucas.

“Brackenfell police are investigating a double murder case. According to reports, Brackenfell police attended to the crime scene where they found the victims with gunshot wounds to their bodies. The victims were declared deceased on the scene by paramedics,” News24 quoted police spokesperson Sergeant Wesley Twigg as saying.
EWN reports that the teenager is now under the custody of a relative and may be undergoing psychiatric evaluation.
The report also states that the teen is being represented by criminal lawyer Advocate William Booth.
“At this time, the family are asking that you respect their privacy as they deal with the death of Warren and Arlene Lucas,” IOL quoted family spokesperson Bridgette Brukman as saying.
