Cape Town – South Africa’s award-winning DJ and producer Black Coffee is set to perform at the iconic Madison Square Garden in New York and the prices for his tickets have been released, and it is surprising.
Black Coffee will perform at The Garden on October 7, and he took to Instagram to post the promotional poster, saying that it has always been a dream of his to take his music to the highest level.
“It’s always been one of my biggest dreams to take this music and sound to the highest level possible and to expose it to the largest audience imaginable and so I’ve dreamt of my @thegarden debut for many years — it’s finally a reality! Years of dreaming coming to you this October 7th, NYC ❤️ wait until you see what we’ve been planning…” he said.

However, SA fans can expect to pay a pretty penny to see the DJ perform live in New York. According to Ticketmaster, ticket prices currently range from $102 – $138 (an estimated R1 870 – R2530). Talent acquisition site Celebrity Talent International said that Black Coffee charges between $150 000 – $300 000 for his shows (an estimated R2.7m – R5.5m).
Black Coffee told East Coast Radio that he plans to retire at 50. The DJ just recently turned 47 and says he feels his time as a DJ will come to an end soon.
“In March this year I will be turning 47 years old, meaning I am three years away from 50, and at 50 I will retire,” he said.
