Cape Town – South African Award-winning deejay Nkosinathi Maphumulo, better known by his stage name as “DJ Black Coffee”, has expressed his gratitude after one of his songs, Inkodlo Kamashimane, was featured in the much-anticipated science fiction film, The Matrix Resurrections.
Coffee took to his social media platforms to announce the good news.
In the same breath, he also revealed the story behind the selected song, saying he wrote it for his father who died seven years ago.

“7 years ago after losing my father I made a song dedicated to him. Humbled beyond belief to be wrapping up 2021 with this song, “Inkodlo Kamashimane,” being featured in the new @thematrixmovie RIP Mashimane#GodsVeryOwn,” Coffee wrote in an Instagram post.

The star recently wowed Mzansi by appearing in a support video featuring well-known celebrities from around the world, cheering British racing driver Lewis Hamilton ahead of his Formula One title showdown.

He also bagged his first-ever Grammy Award nomination for his album “Subconsciously“.
In addition, According to Times Live, the DJ has had the privilege of touring and continuing to do what he loves despite the roaring Covid-19 pandemic.
