Cape Town — South African musician Big Zulu wrote a beautiful Father’s Day message to his former colleagues in the music industry, AKA and Ricky Rick, after their tragic passing.
While many families got the opportunity to spend the day with their dads and shower them with gifts and love this past Sunday, Big Zulu gave Father’s Day tributes to AKA and Ricky Rick.
“Happy Father’s Day MaQhawe akith❤️?Ngicela ukuthatha leli thuba ngith Happy Father’s Day kubo bonke oBaba abango Baba kuzo zonke ingane??Nginifisela usuku oluhle?”
TRANSLATION: “Happy Father’s Day my heroes. I would like to take this opportunity to say Happy Father’s day to all fathers who are fathers to all children. I wish you a good day.”

Ricky Rick died in February 2022 by suspected suicide, while AKA was shot dead in February of this year.
According to The South African, both men left their children and families behind.
AKA left his daughter Kairo behind while Riky Rick left his son Maik Daniel Makhado behind.
Kairo continues to stay in the headlines due to her mother, DJ Zinhle, while Malik leads a more private life.
