Cape Town – South African singer Belinda Davids is known for her incredible singing impersonation of legendary singer Whitney Houston and she announced she will be back touring in SA soon.
The show will take place from 24 August to 10 September and fans can look forward to hearing some of Whitney’s biggest hits such as I Will Always Love You, I Wanna Dance With Somebody and How Will I Know. Speaking on 702, Davids revealed what it meant for her to be performing in SA again.
“I am excited to comeback, the last time we were at the Joburg Theatre was our 10-year anniversary and it was sold out for seven show. At the end of it all, I had to do a double show so we said let’s bring it back and give it more,” she said.
Davids is currently on an international tour and wowing audiences in Europe with the full Whitney Houston experience. She will be touring New Zealand next month, The South African reported.
She grew up in Port Elizabeth and developed a love for music at a young age. She spent a lot of time singing gospel music in church. Her career has allowed her to pay tribute to Whitney across the world with her powerful voice.
From a young age, Davids felt a special connection to the late Whitney Houston and knew she wanted to perform Whitney’s songs.
“I am a fan, I love Whitney. I was a little girl who grew up with her songs and idolised her like so many others,” she said.
