Cape Town – Greatly admired radio presenter, Mark Pilgrim, returned to the Hot 1027 airwaves after a 2-week absence due to a collapsed lung.
“After 2.5 weeks, was back in my happy place this morning,” Pilgrim said in an Instagram post.

Fans took to the comments section to express how much they have missed hearing him on air.
“You are a happy place for so many. Welcome back,” one comment read.
“So good to hear you this morning! You make my day better,” another said.
“It’s great to hear your voice again. Sending you lots of love and strength,” one Instagram user said.
“Nice to hear you back on the radio,” another said.
Mark also shared a picture of himself and his family going for a walk days after he had 2 litres of fluid drained from his chest cavity.
“Doing a 1km walk to exercise the lungs while the Pilgrimites exercise the dogs. Haven’t seen my girls in almost 3 weeks. I’m a happy daddy,” he captioned the photo.

In a previous post, Pilgrim revealed that he had suffered from a collapsed lung.
“We figured out why I’ve been man-down for over 2 weeks… At hospital allowing a collapsed lung to start working again by draining 2 liters of fluid from the chest cavity ?. The other 2L will come out in a week or two,” he said.
The radio presenter was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year.
