Cape Town – South Africa’s first-ever Bachelor star Lee Thompson has made a triumphant return to Instagram after seven months away. It appears he has gotten his life back on track after he was admitted to rehab last year.
The star of the first Bachelor SA looks happier than ever. In his post, he is seen with friends and family and posing next to a metal rhino and feeding a giraffe.
“A great Sunday outing.☺️_ #fun #friends #selfie #wildlife #outdoors,” Thompson wrote.

In August last year, Thompson caused shockwaves among fans when he was reportedly admitted to rehab and that he was homeless after he was evicted from his house in Buitenkant Street in Cape Town.
According to News24, Thompson initially kept his Instagram followers up to date with his progress, sharing that he adopted a Great Dane puppy and would soon be releasing his long-awaited tell-all book.
The model revealed in October that the book would share his experiences on Bachelor SA and chronicle his “drug addiction, suicide attempts and becoming homeless”.
Thompson shared his final post in October 2022 where he spent a day out with his puppy. He said: Getting a little stronger, faster, fitter and wiser with each day. ☄_ I’m on my way back to the top! ?.”
