Cape Town — South African radio host Anele Mdoda has warned those attending the upcoming Durban July to have their life in order and have a plan in place for attending the event.
The Hollywoodbets Durban July weekend is well on its way and set to take place at the Greyville Racecourse in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal.
Around this time of the year, thousands of South Africans flock to the event to enjoy a day of watching horses race and night of drinking and partying, The South African wrote.
Anele took to Twitter and gave fans a word of advice about having a plan for getting home.
“Durban July chronicles are about to be all over the timeline. Please please Abeg…have a concrete plan now on how you are getting home. Treat this weekend like doing iVosho… you must know how you are going to come up whilst you are going down. Thanks for attending my Ted Talk,” she said.

According to TimesLIVE, eThekwini mayor Mxolisi Kaunda said law enforcement will be deployed to strategic areas during the event amid safety concerns for the residents and event attendees.
“About 100 metro police officers will be deployed around the Greyville area. In addition, metro police’s public order policing unit, which is trained in crowd control, is on high alert to ensure an incident-free event,” he said.
