Cape Town – Popular reality TV show, Love and Hip-Hop SA, has paid tribute to AKA’s legacy in the third episode of the show’s new season.
The show features some of SA’s top music artists, including Shane Eagle, Money Badoo, Gigi Lamayne and Da L.E.S, who was really close to AKA, having joined the industry at the same time, as well as Yanga Chief, who collaborated on a few songs with AKA too, IOL reported.
In the episode, the stars revealed how they dealt with AKA’s death and the show shared their tributes to him too.
“We are all still in disbelief – it’s an unfair thing” – @ItsYangaChief ? On the next episode of Love & Hip Hop South Africa, we celebrate the SupaMega, Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes ?️#MTVLHHSA Mondays at 21:30 CAT, repeats at 15:10 CAT ? MTV channel 130 @dstvza pic.twitter.com/txhc6TzOEA

MTV shared a snippet of the emotional episode, where the cameras were rolling at AKA’s memorial service. DA L.E.S hosted an intimate memorial service for the cast, where they also invited his dad, Tony Forbes.
The cast are also sitting together and consoling each other. Tony says: “It’s hard to lose a child. I think it’s going to get more difficult,” while standing around with the cast.
“I don’t think we could’ve had the AKA that we had, if you didn’t guide him the way you did,” Fifi Cooper says to Tony.
Yanga Chief says: “To the Megacy and beyond. Whenever you are in doubt just ask yourself, what would AKA do?”
This was a great way to see the raw emotions of the cast after the death of a friend. However, many felt that the show took advantage of the family’s grieving to make content for the show.
No ways they used this for this show for views…
