Cape Town — The DSTV Content Creator Awards announced the nominees for the upcoming award show and former music star AKA received two nominations.
The announcement took place on 20 July as the top names and entries were announced across the various categories. “Shining a light on people who make us feel good” the company says of the awards.
Hosted at the Hallmark House in Johannesburg, the nominated content creators gathered to reveal their nominations. The official content creator page on Instagram posted a promotional video to celebrate the nominees.

According to The South African, The DSTV Content Creator Awards is a platform that was created to shine light on South African content creators across the board. Influencers, people, agencies and brands who are at the forefront of popular culture and content creation are recognised by the Content Creator Awards.
Included in the nominees was AKA, who received two nominations. He received two nominations for Song of the Year as Lemonade featuring Nasty C and Company featuring KDDO, both songs off his latest album Mass Country.
The Awards consist of 20 categories, eight of which are in the hands of the public to vote. The Content Creator Awards will be taking place on 9 September 2023.
