Cape Town – South African YouTuber Slik Talk has stirred up some considerable controversy after bashing AKA’s last album Mass County, saying it was “an absolute piece of sh*t” and that the album had no hits.
The album premiered on Friday, February 24.
Taking to his YouTube channel, Slik Talk trashed AKA’s album despite it reaching six million streams on the first day of its release.
He expressed an intense dislike towards the songs featured on the album.
“I just listened to AKA’s album called Mass Country and I’m going to give it a solid 2/10. I absolutely hate this album. I hate everything about this album.
“It’s absolutely one of the worse albums I’ve ever heard in my whole life. Sonically, it doesn’t even sound good. The mixing is terrible. I do not like this album one bit. It has no hits,” Slik said in the video.
“AKA left an absolute piece of sh*t. This album is not worth listening to for a second time. I did not like it at all,” he added.
The Youtuber also bashed Nadia Nakai’s verse on the song Crowd, saying it was “not needed at all”.

Speaking at the premiere event of the album, Nadia reflected on the fun times she and her boyfriend had.
The couple worked together on the song Dangerous, which was featured on the album.
“It was like a part of our love language. It was something we used to do, just the two of us in the living room. It was amazing that the moment we’d get together and make music it was from a lovers’ perspective and not just two artists collaborating together,” Nadia said.
