Cape Town – As South Africa continues to deal with an energy crisis due to continuous power unit failures from Eskom, rapper AKA has, once again, decided to help solve the problem by reaching out to South African-born billionaire and Tesla CEO, Elon Musk.
AKA went onto Twitter and directly asked Musk to help fix the energy crisis
“Dear @elonmusk, can you please come fix the South African energy crisis. What will it take for you to come flick a few switches and save us?,” he tweeted.

In response to AKA’s tweet, one Twitter user replied by quoting a previous tweet from Musk, where he outlined steps that countries who struggle with energy problems can take to help possibly solve the issue.
“Countries should be increasing nuclear power generation. It is insane from a national security standpoint and bad for the environment to shut them down,” tweeted Elon.

This is the second time that AKA has reached out to Musk after he made the same request in June of this year.
“Excuse me sir @elonmusk. I cannot for the life of me understand why the government hasn’t approached you to come help us with this electricity crisis, but is there any chance you could perhaps do us a solid, you know, with you being born here and all,” he tweeted
TimesLIVE reported that Eskom COO Jan Oberholzer said that a unit at Koeberg power station will undergo scheduled maintenance from December 8 until June next year, which means rolling blackouts are likely to continue for the foreseeable future.
