Cape Town – South Africans are mourning the death of singer Killer Kau and amapiano artist Mpura after they died in a car accident while on their way to a gig over the weekend.
Details about the incident remained unclear.
The two rising stars were discovered not so long ago, reports said.
According to Times Live, Mpura rose to prominence recently during the rise and takeover of the amapiano genre, having been part of great collaborations that gave Mzansi hits such as Umsebenzi Wethu.

It hits more, because I had the opportunity to meet/work with him for the first time just THREE days ago, would have never thought it’d also be my last. Such a great spirit to be around.
Rest in Peace! ❤️ #RestInPeace #killerkau pic.twitter.com/86VCBM52NU— thato sikwane (@SikwaneThato) August 9, 2021
