Pictures of the Facebook rapist dressed in different sets of normal clothing have also gone viral, raising many questions about his incarceration conditions.
Reports have since claimed that even before his escape, Bester would sneak out of prison and meet with his lover Dr Nandipha Magudumana at a five-star hotel.
Times Live quoted Sunday Times as saying that Bester enjoyed several “getaways” from prison in the months before his escape and on at least two occasions booked into a hotel in Bloemfontein with Magudumana.
“The couple stayed at the Tredenham Boutique Hotel in March and again in April using one of Bester’s aliases, TK Nkwana.
“An invoice from the hotel showed the couple stayed for four nights, checking in on Thursday, March 24 2022 and out on Monday, March 28.
“However, the hotel’s owner said their booking system showed the couple had stayed a further night, checking out on Tuesday, March 29,” the report said.
Meanwhile, Police Minister Bheki Cele said that more arrests are expected in connection with Bester’s escape.
He said police will leave “no stone unturned” until all those implicated were brought to book.
“… What has become very clear here is that the investigation will have to go much deeper, much higher and sideways. Everything is going to be investigated, there will be no stone left unturned.

“We believe, by the look of things, that many, many people, may will have to answer on this matter… As the investigation continues, you will expect that more people will be arrested,” said Cele.
So far, four people have been arrested for assisting the convicted rapist escape, including Magudumana, her father Zolile Cornelius Sekeleni, former G4S employee Sehone Matsoara and CCTV technician Teboho Lipholo.
They all appeared in the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court on Monday and Sekeleni was granted R10 000 bail on condition he reports to the Port Edward police station once a week, remains within the magisterial district of Port Edward and does not contact any of the state’s witnesses, Times Live reported.
